There’s a lot to update so I’ll start with the biggest — Tourette’s Podcast now has a primary sponsor in the Tourette Association of America. Their support has been great since day one, and with the podcast’s growth necessitating new resources to stay afloat, they’ve stepped up and I’m so grateful. Their sponsorship not only stabilizes the show; it makes new things possible, including a direct line to TAA’s expertise (much of which you can already access yourselves at tourette.org). Please join me in thanking the Tourette Association, which by the way is expanding its focus on the adult population.
Even though it’s the Tourette Association of America, that won’t change the global inclusivity of the show here. We’re still having conversations with Touretters from all around the world and growing from the takeaways.
We kick off Season 4 with Ed Cooney, who has contributed to this website before and who brings loads of human context to the Tourette conversation. His stories are both insightful and dang hilarious, including those about a tic he has that, to the uninitiated, may look like an offensive gesture that has indeed confused his coworkers.
There’s a lot to get from Ed; please reach out with your thoughts after listening.
Thanks, everyone. So happy to get this off the ground.
