Three Years (So Far) of Tourette's Podcast
I wouldn’t have known it myself if it weren’t for an observant colleague but, today, I learned Tourette’s Podcast started exactly three years ago, on Feb. 16, 2018. That’s when the first two episodes aired, respectively disclosing my backstory and having the time of my life talking with a Touretter named Maddie, who I still think about all the time.
I totally didn’t anticipate what the podcast grew to become. A LOT has happened these past three years. My life is totally different. Perspective, self-acceptance, sense of advocacy and connection, et cetera. Everything has changed.
Thanks, everyone, for lifting the podcast higher than I could ever imagine. Today, it’s fueled by the support of the Tourette Association of America and individual contributions and is distributed to a general audience by Geeks Rising.
Special thanks to the incalculable support from Tourette’s Podcast Discussion Group admin Sophia Savidis-Macris. And to Elizabeth MacDonald for creating the Tourette’s Podcast logo you’re looking at. And to Sunshine and Powercuts and Sunshine Summit host Heather Welch, who made me aware of the anniversary we’re talking about.
Season 7 of the show will start in a little while and I’m stoked on what’s ahead for it.
